Role: Junior Gen AI Research Engineer

About the Role
We are looking for a motivated Generative AI Engineer with foundational experience in Large
Language Models (LLMs) and modern AI frameworks. This role is ideal for candidates who have
hands-on exposure to building AI-powered applications and are eager to deepen their expertise in
LLMs, RAG systems, and model customization.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in building and deploying LLM-powered applications.
Work on integrating APIs from models like OpenAI / open-source LLMs.
Support development of Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines.
Perform basic fine-tuning or prompt engineering for domain-specific use cases.
Implement and test AI workflows and simple agent-based systems.
Help in evaluating model outputs and improving response quality.
Write clean, efficient, and reusable Python code.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (backend, product, etc.).
Debug issues and optimize performance of AI features.
Required Skills & Qualifications (Must Have)
LLM & Generative AI Basics
Basic understanding of LLMs and how they work.
Familiarity with:
o Transformers (high-level understanding)
o Embeddings and tokenization (conceptual clarity)
Hands-on experience with:
o Python
o Hugging Face / OpenAI APIs
o Prompt engineering
Exposure to:
o RAG concepts
o Vector databases (FAISS / Pinecone / similar – basic usage)
Programming & Tools
Strong Python programming skills.
Experience working with REST APIs.
Basic knowledge of Git and version control.
Familiarity with data handling (Pandas, JSON, etc.).
Infrastructure (Good to Have)
Basic exposure to:
o Docker
o Cloud platforms (AWS / GCP / Azure)
Understanding of deploying simple services or APIs.
